Brilliant dyes on this Persian, woven in the village of Malayer, circa 1920. Its backdrop is indigo blue. The corner medallions feature madder red, aqua blue and ivory. Other colors include tan, forest green, and sky blue.
All natural, vegetable dyed wool and it has a beautiful and sturdy handle.
